Miles Apart

It feels so weird that Cody is across the Atlantic in another country. I know it's normal for lots of families but this is our first go around and it just feels weird. I wish I could be experiencing it all with him but I'm not. Next time though hopefully!!

If you're wondering how I got this pic, I use google latitude to track Cody and he can track me. It's pretty sweet! I love the app on my iPhone. No more asking if he's left work yet, cause I know. 

Cinco de Mayo

5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

It works perfect that we were married on Cinco de Mayo! We both love Mexican food! 

I can't believe Cody & I are already at the first milestone in anniversaries. The big 5 year!! We are celebrating by going to sunny Cancun with no kids for a week. I seriously can't control my excitement! Not because of where the destination is but because I get Cody to myself for a week without kids, church, or work distractions. Okay who am I kidding... work will still be with us but only for 30 minutes a night so Cody can check emails. He also has an international phone which I'm making him put in the safe and only allowed to look at for those 30 minutes. We'll see how it goes.

I could get all mushy on here and tell you how amazing my husband is but it's not his thing! He knows how I feel about him and I'm pretty sure you all do too! So here's to an amazing 5 years and to a whole lot more. Okay more like eternity! :)

On a side note: I tried on this yesterday!! 

And it still fit! Awesome! I'll try it on again at the 10 year anniversary. Hope I'll at least be able to get it on. Maybe not tie it :)

The last 3 weeks

Feels like the last 3 weeks has been the length of two months. Why?

Here's what's been going on!

- Cody turned 27 and was in San Diego during that time for LVN (LifeVantage). The Webb girls and the little boys took a trip to Blanding and had a baby shower for Haven (pics to come).

- Cody got a new job. AGAIN!! This is the 5th job in 4.5 years of marriage. He is now the Director of International Markets for HAVVN (pronounced "Haven"... yes it's weird that Cody's sister's name is also Haven)

- I'd love to tell you all about his new job and the switch but I'm afraid I'd get into trouble maybe saying certain things I'm not supposed to. Let's just say that he got recruited by Havvn and it was a month and a half LONG process of should we do it, should we leave LVN, is it a risk we are willing to take, are we even going to get the offer, will they accept our counter-offer... and on and on. We spent so many late nights talking over and over again about the two companies and which one would be the best opportunity for Cody and our family. It was the hardest decision we've had to make so far in our marriage and it was stressful... my face is evidence of that. Side note... why does stress have to make my face break out??? Because then I stress out even more because I'm all zitty and that leads to more zits... Awesome!

- So now Cody is working long hours and is expected to travel to Japan and Holland once a quarter. Very exciting for him and hopefully I can tag along once in a while. If not, I'm flying home or going to Blanding. I hate this whole being alone thing.

- Our ward split into two wards and we are now in the 2nd ward. New ward = new callings and Cody and I are now in scouting... yes scouting. Cody is the Scout Master and I'm the Webelos Leader. Cue more stress. I know nothing about scouting and I'm actually what they'd call "indoorsy" not "outdoorsy". Let's just say I'm nervous!

- Cody traveled to Chicago for work.

- I turned 25 and Cody treated me to dinner at The Roof and an iPhone! Definitely a perk of Cody's new job.

- Celebrated Valentines Day. Cody got home at 8pm and we had take-out for dinner. Negative of Cody's new job! haha

So that brings us to today where our family is trying to adjust to all of these new changes and responsibilities. I'm not at all saying that we have a hard life by any means. This is just a huge change and adjustment for our family and right now we are trying to figure everything out. Poor Cody is being pulled hard in three different directions and I'm trying to get used to being more of a single Mom than I'd like too.

I know we'll figure it all out and find balance again in our life. It might just take a while. Until then, you'll have to be patient about the lack of posts.

27!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CODY!!

It's such an important day today! Why??? Cause today marks the 27th year since Cody Christopher Webb was born to Chris & Stacey! Boy am I sure glad they had him. Even if he wasn't "planned".

The boys and I would like to send out a special shout out to our favorite person today and let him know how much we love him.

Thank you for being such a great husband, father, best friend, example, and most importantly an eternal companion.

We love you and hope you are having as much fun as you can in San Diego without us. We miss you and can't wait to celebrate your birthday when you get back.

Side Note: The pic shows a little bit of how our boys deal with Cody leaving for work. You can't see the front of Carter but in this picture he was crying cause Daddy needed to go to work. They've gotten used to him leaving now and know his routine and will start telling him bye bye and giving him loves before he even starts for the door. Once they hear that garage door open they run to the door and start knocking on it and yelling "Daddy". They sure love their Dad and I love it. Even if they do prefer him over me most of the time.

Big Helpers

G&G B got the boys a storage shelf for all their toys for their new toy room. Cody was putting it together one evening and the boys decided to help.

Carter had the most fun walking in between the rods. It looked like a jail! I was a little worried they were going to get stuck once Cody started tightening the screws.

Such big little helpers. They always want to be doing exactly what Daddy is.

Nearby Sighting

I was brushing my teeth one morning when I looked out the window to see a little two-point in the field across the street.  I grabbed the camera on the way out the door to see how close I could get.  I haven't hunted deer since before my mission and this was my chance to get a "shot".

I looked out the window and what did I see? Not popcorn.

I barely approached them when they starting bounding south.  I was not quick to give up. I jumped in my car and headed down the road. And snapped this shot. Not bad for a un-photographer eh?

Where's the deer?

As I drove further down the road my rusty old hunter eyes were able to catch a glimpse of this.  I call it the triple threat. I know, no threat here, but a killer title helps market the picture better.

With soaking wet dress slacks, tropping through the mud with my camera in hand, I can only imagine what the passers-by were thinking.  I didn't get very clear views but I had a blast.  I could do that more often.  I might even get good at taking pictures one of these days.

In the end the baulkers took off and I was left to take one last shot of my view to the right.  Pretty little stream that didn't say "Give" (at least while I was there).

Hiking Timp

Joe (my sister's husband) and I thought it would be fun to hike Mt. Timpanogos sometime this summer. We planned several weekends but it never worked out until this past weekend. We rounded up my brothers, Brooke (Shad's wife), and some of their friends.

I could sum it up simply by saying it was harder than I thought it would be but we had fun and I'm glad we did it. The hardest part is that when I called Amanda at the top she told me she was home with two boys who had woken up sick. I felt bad.

When we came upon these shaggy dog look a-likes I decided I was satisfied and could turn around and go home a happy boy. Didn't though.

It's hard to find time to get out of the house for that many hours with responsibilities at home so I owe Amanda a big thanks for pulling overtime. I guess it's her turn to do something she loves. Go ahead, encouraging words are welcome.

Daddy's Day Off

Cody had Monday off due to working late hours last week and all weekend. LifeVantage had an event - Elite Academy - which Cody worked at. So what to do when you have a random day off???

I am excited to share with ya'll how and where I spend the majority of my daily life.

So I am a Marketer for LifeVantage Corporation. Let me begin by telling you about LifeVantage. We may have to save "What is the 'marketing' that you do" for another post — we'll see how it goes.

LifeVantage is a networking marketing, multi-level, or direct sales company. Roll your eyes, replace company for "scam", and sneer if you'd like, but over the course of my time with networking marketing companies, and in particular, LifeVantage, I have come to see that they are not what I thought they were and definitely not what most people think they are.

LifeVantage's main product is a supplement called Protandim. Protandim does many things but the gist of it is that it is proven through various clinical trials to enduce your body to produce three enzymes (SOD, catalase and glutathione). When you're young your body uses these enzymes at a high level to fight the millions of free radicals your body produces every second. But, as you get older your body produces less and less of these enzymes which leads to many of the effects of aging.

I recently came across an example of how glutathione levels for example can affect us in a children's health blog. Pay attention to the glutathione section (nothing to do with the product or the company) but if you're interested enough you can see one example of how this product can affect people.

Could keep going but delving into the details could get lengthy but this is actually a very big deal. No other supplement can do this and it's effects are far reaching. That's why more than 15 Universities (see a few here) are studying it nationwide using THEIR OWN money and initiative. You really have to watch this short video of our product to get it.

What do I have to do with all this?

I work with and manage a team of three to do but not limited to the strategies and implementation of the following —

• Our Website - lifevantage.com and lvnmedia.com
• Brand Management - Ensuring that LifeVantage is presented and represented appropriately at every interaction it has with its customers, vendors, investors, employees, etc. This is one of my favorite responsibilities. Coming up with the colors, logo, and various packing items were some of my favorite projects this year.
  
• Email Marketing - Campaigns to various customer types.
• Corporate Marketing Materials - Everything from business cards, shirts, banners, signage, brochures, flyers, presentations, etc.
• Product Marketing - Determining product message points and product position and sending that message through our marketing channels.
• Monthly and Quarterly Newsletters
• Business Marketing - Determining business opportunity message points and unique position and sending that message through our marketing channels
• Social Networking - Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, blog.
• Promotions - Various incentive promotions and campaigns to increase sales.
• A little PR

It has been fun to work for LifeVantage in its "start up" phase over the past year. It has been a challenge to conceptualize, create and distribute various projects on very little money and resources. I have learned a great deal and look forward to what will come.

It's fun and I enjoy what I do.

Cody the Jokester

Okay so this is getting out of hand. I've tried getting Cody to do a "fake-out" post ever since he posted that the boys were walking. To straighten things out... NO the boys are not walking, they are just crawling. There, I had to do his dirty work for him... that little stinker. Sorry to all those he fooled. Guess you just got to know Cody better.

Even though they aren't walking we still think they are pretty amazing. I promise when they do walk the post will include video :)
