If you can't tell by the lack of posts and the 4th of July header still up on our blog that we've been out of town for the past two weeks. I have so many posts to catch up on and other day to day things to catch up on so be patient with us.
To hold you over enjoy a video Cody made of our day at the beach on the Oregon Coast. We spent the day at Hug Beach just south of Cannon Beach and then ended the day at Cannon exploring in the tide pools. Cody kept himself busy by filming the day all with an iPhone. Pretty good quality for a phone!
The boys turned 2 while we were in Chehalis with my family. It was hard not having Cody there but that just meant the boys got two birthday parties.
Their birthday was very very low key. It killed me not to do something big but since we were gone it just didn't seem possible or worth it. Cody had to remind me that they don't care!
I've started a tradition that there will always be 2 cakes. One for each of them. I made two mandarin orange cakes that were awesome. Very light and full of citrus flavor with a whip cream frosting. The boys love mandarin oranges so it turned out perfect for them.

Afterwards we opened presents. Their favorites were the bubble machine, all the cars and tractors, and play cameras.

Later that night we had special visitors. Carolyn, Callie, and Clover all came to see the boys.

We went down to where else but Blanding for the 4th. We took two extra days off and had a mini vacation. We left Thursday morning at 1:30am after I got out of Eclipse and showed up at 5:30am. We did really well staying awake except I wish I hadn't tried the 5 Hour Energy drink. It made me really sick to my stomach for 12 hours.
We did lots of fun stuff like: fishing, jet skiing, playing in the pool, eating, visiting family, eating, croquet, eating, dinner on the mountain, eating, playing volleyball, watching the parade and fireworks, eating, and more eating. We always eat way too much when we go down to B-Town.
