Farewell

Back in June we flew up to WA to spend some time with my family and to be there for my parent's farewell and setting apart. I originally was supposed to fly up with Cody just for the weekend but two weeks before we were to leave I started getting sad thinking about my parents leaving. So I changed mine and the boys' plane tickets and flew by myself with three kids 3 and under. It wasn't too bad. We had a few hiccups but we made it and everything turned out pretty good. It's a good thing the boys are experienced travelers. I think this was like their 12th flight.

It was funny to see people staring at me as we walked on and off the plane. They especially stared at Jaid because she was only 1 month old and still soo tiny. She was an angel and slept pretty much the whole time going and coming back.

I could never get tired of the view from my parent's house on the hill. I truly miss the green in WA!
Lawn mower and tractor rides are a must when visiting.
We spent lots and lots of time with cousins. This particular day we went to the children's museum in Olympia
Eating chips at the farewell party
My parents were expecting about 150 guests at the party so parking was going to be a problem up their driveway. So my dad rented a golfcart to transport people up and down the hill. The boys loved getting rides.
Lena girl! Cutest member of the Matagi Clan!
Family picture time! How come the last two times we've taken a family picture I had JUST had a baby.
Cutest family! I miss them so much already!

About a month before the farewell my Mom informed my Dad that she wanted a fire pit in the back yard that could hold about 20 people! So of course my Dad pulled it of and built an amazing fire pit and we used it about every night we were there. It was so fun.

Cody of course being a Webb led us in some campfire and scout songs. Everyone got to see the crazy side of Cody.

We had such a fun week together even though it was kinda crazy getting ready for the party. It feels so weird not going to WA this month like we always do. But we decided that next August even though my parents will be gone we will have to make a trip to see my Sister and her family. Cartrey have so much fun playing with their cousins. Plus, Selena and Jaid will be able to play together since their are only 5 months apart and I'm already missing the cool weather and green!

New Years

We didn't take very many photos of our stay in Chehalis. We did the normal eating out and shopping and playing with family. The only thing different this time was fighting over who got to hold Selena!

For New Years Eve we had Cafe Rio salads, burritos, and nachos and then all the boys lit off some fireworks. And it wouldn't be a trip to WA without riding on Bampa's tractor over and over again.

Trey got a little scared of one of the fireworks
Thanks Mom & Dad for a great visit! We can't wait to come back in June with a new addition!

Baby Selena

Baby Selena was born on December 28th at about 8 pounds and I can't remember the length. In fact no one knew for the longest time. Selena was supposed to be born before Christmas but decided to wait until her Aunti Manda could fly to WA to be there! :)

The day after we drove home from Blanding we flew to WA to be with my family for New Years. It was amazing to get to meet Selena right away and made me even more excited for when we have this little baby. I didn't know at the time though I was having a little girl as well! I'm so excited that Selena and my little girl will only be 5 months apart.

Dano wasn't interested in holding her
The boys were excited to see Aunti Jamie in the hospital and meet the new baby. It was good practice for when they meet their baby sister.
Granddaughter #2!! Yay for girls.
Love this picture even though it is blurry. I guess Mike has become such a big help around the house and holds Selena whenever he can. What a great big brother. Mike and Selena are almost 13 years apart!
Look at all that dark hair!
Now a family of 7!! Love this family! So happy for them and finally getting their sweet girl. She is one special little princess that will be spoiled by love and be protected by 4 big brothers her whole life.

Washington in August

Waaayyy back in August the boys and I went up to WA to spend some time with who else but the Fam! Cody was at scout camp and didn't join us until the last 3 days of our 2 week vacation. Thank you Mom & Dad for a fun time as always!

I had this post almost ready with all the pictures and for some reason blogger didn't save it. What the heck!!! So since I'm so far behind in blogging, a slideshow of the pics will have to do. I threw it together in about 5 minutes. If you watch it enjoy the pics or if you don't have time or don't want to here are the highlights of the trip. Maybe you'll be able to tell which highlights apply the boys and then me. :)
