Indio

Our first family vacation by ourselves was a success. We used our timeshare and headed down to Palm Springs, CA to get away from the snow and into the sun. We packed up the car Friday night and drove to Vegas to stay with my Aunt and Uncle and then got up the next morning and drove the rest of the way to Indio, CA. The kids did awesome on the way down. Not a problem at all.

We arrived in Indio at about 4pm Saturday night and the boys immediately wanted to go swimming.

The next day we spent the entire day at the pool. We woke up and ate breakfast, swam, went back to the room to eat lunch, swam some more, and then grilled on our patio for dinner. We had two pools, a splash pad, a lazy river, and two playgrounds to keep us busy.

The next day we drove to the coast, about a 2 hour drive, to Dana Point Beach. It was beautful but the weather was not cooperating. It was kind overcast and windy. If it wouldn't have been windy it would have been perfect. We only stayed for a couple hours until we had had enough. The boys still loved it though. On our way back we went through Laguna Beach to have dinner and to play at the playground on the beach. The boys didn't want to leave. Side note, Cody and Jaid got pooped on by a seagull. haha it was funny to me but not to Cody.

Our final day we did what else but spend the whole day at the pool again.

While there we went to a really good mexican restaurant and Trey was obsessed with his map placemat. We also went to Dairy Queen twice. We love their ice cream.

Enjoy Cody's movie. We love his movies so much. Carter and Trey love to watch all our movies and ask to watch them over and over.

Little Fishies

We took the boys to the Lehi Legacy Center for an afternoon of swimming and they were in Heaven! Trey got so giddy putting his swimsuit on and all day they kept asking us when we were going to go swimming.

The little toddler area is nice but the boys got bored with it and wanted to play where the kids play. Trey gets a little too adventurous sometimes and will just go under the water without warning. We have to watch him at all times. His favorite is going down the slides or watching other kids go down.

Carter was a lot more comfortable this time compared to St. George! He relaxed in our arms and would float on his back and kick. He had a blast. The water was warmer this time too. Carter however does  not like going down the slides.

I'm sure we'll be going swimming a lot in the summer and as soon as they can they'll be in swimming lessons. I'm glad they enjoy it and it's so much fun watching them enjoy themselves
