Another 6 months has FLOWN by and my little boys are 18 months! This is such a fun stage right now. They learn something new every day and have such fun personalities. The doctor was impressed with their talking skills and said it is rare for boys their age to be talking so much. Definitely a proud Mommy moment. Here are some new things the boys are up to.
- Weighs 25 lbs - 38%
- 31 inches short - 15%
- Head is 18 inches - 6% - really?? Their heads look big to me!
- Has a self-concept - knows it is him in the mirror
- Can climb up on the couch and chairs
- Gets very frustrated when he isn't understood
- So impatient
- Needs a lot of attention
- Makes the funniest expressions
- Can repeat most of the words you say and usually will repeat the last word in a sentence
- Can count to 3
- Thinks every color is blue
- Pooped in the toilet once, it was a proud moment!
- Put himself in time out a few times when he knows he shouldn't touch something
- High tolerance of pain but low tolerance of uncomfortable temps
- Weighs 24.5 lbs - 30%
- 30.75 inches short - 11 %
- Head is 18.25 inches - 14% - hmmm... weird
- Will do a step by step process for a long time. For example, he'll take a movie out of the drawer and bring you it and then go back for another movie and then bring you that movie. He will continue this process until there are no more movies and then he start with your pile and take them back one at a time.
- Very good at entertaining himself
- Loves to play "bonk" - he'll bonk his head on yours and say "bonk"
- So silly sometimes and has such a sweet laugh
- Sings the ABC song and gets about the first 4 letters and then it's all jumbled
- Will sing with us when we sing a song before bed and usually gets the last word of each sentence correct.
- Loves to color
- Thinks being told no is funny and does it over and over and laughs his head off
- Such a little cry baby sometimes
- Doesn't like pain but can handle uncomfortable temps
- Sorts the laundry with me and will sort out all of his clothes from our clothes into different piles.
- Such polite little guys, say "please" and "thank you" by themselves most of the time but still need some coaching.
- Love to yell out "insert name" and then "where are you". It is so stinkin cute when they do. We love it! Especially when they yell out "Car Car" or "Trey J"
- Talk non-stop. New words in the last 6 months - go, again, nuh night, shoe, shirt, dressed, pants, hat, socks, eyes, nose, teeth, brush, no, snow, cold, hot, block, cheese, chairs, dinner, lunch, snack, milk, juice, mess, fingers, toes, potty, toys, car, truck, Jesus, dance, Elmo, remote, computer, apple, orange, grapes, bowl, plate, fork, spoon, horsey, kite, noodle, trash, back, hand, open close, on, off, bonk, up, down, downstairs, out, in, outside, cracker, cookie, more, color, pen, light, doctor, all done, santa, tree, star, reindeer - and more I know I'm missing
- Will put their finger up to their mouth and go "shhh". So funny!
- Absolutely LOVE to dance, I think it is one of their favorite things. They will ask to dance if no music is on and then boogie.
- Can stack 4-5 blocks on top of each other without making them fall down. Then they will hit the blocks and yell out "Oh No"
- Loves to play the where are you game where you hide under a blanket and yell out "where are you"
- Love to be chased and will say "gotch ya" when they get you
- Sleep from 8 pm to 7:30 am and take one nap a day from 12 to 2 or 3 if I'm lucky
- Respond to little commands like "Bring me a wipe? or "throw this away".
- Will put something back when asked
- Will say "hand" when they want to take you somewhere and then pull you to what they want
- Use a fork and spoon well when they eat
- Help me when I clean up by wiping things or sweeping or vacuuming
- Will say "hold you" when they want you to hold them
- Love to go bye bye. They are so well behaved at the store and when running errands.
- Will ask to go nuh night when they are tired and then usually will ask for their binkies. They only get them at naps, bed time, and in the car on long trips.
- Are so concerned about each other. If you give one of them a cracker or cookie or anything else they will say the other boy's name and want you to give him another whatever you gave him so he can give it to the other twin. SO CUTE !
- Share pretty well. I've only seen them get mad about 4 times when something is taken.
- Favor their dad when he's home.
- Reading books, rough housing with daddy, and bath time are probably their all time favorite things
- Love to squat, spin, and stomp

I can't believe your cute little guys are 18 months already! They are so advanced for their age & looks like they pick up things very easily.
My 2.5 year old is in the 5th percentile for weight (23.5 lbs) & 15% for height (34.5 in), but is in the greater than 97th percentile for head (20.5 in) Each little one is different & it seems like they are growing nicely.
